Experience one of Pattaya's most intriguing dining spots — a former parasailing business turned floating restaurant. Here, guests are encouraged to partake in a thrilling fishing adventure, explicitly targeting their freshest and most coveted ingredient: squid. Once you've successfully hooked your prize, the restaurant's dedicated waitstaff will swiftly transport it to the kitchen, where skilled chefs will artfully prepare it to suit your preferences. Savor the incredible freshness of sashimi-style squid, possibly still in motion, or have it grilled and topped with lime or stir-fried in various ways. A view, an adventure, and great food. What else could you want?
Ray's BBQ has brought residents a taste of Texas-style BBQ to the LA area since 2014. From the mouth-watering, slow-cooked brisket to the tender ribs and succulent sausage, the place has something for everyone to enjoy. Watch as we learn why the Ramirez family continues to carry on Rene "Ray" Ramirez's legacy after his untimely passing and get a behind-the-scenes view of the passion put into every dish.
Henry Cai, the owner of 3 Little Pigs Chi in Chicago, has no signs, no sit-down, and takes orders over Instagram DMs for his BBQ Chinese and fried chicken. He preps his meals in a 200-square-foot shared kitchen, yet has people traveling for hours out of state to get a taste of his menu. Cai tells MUNCHIES how he learned to cook without any restaurant experience, how he views success, and how he plans to evolve Chinese American food. Although Cai may attribute his business as an "accidental success," it's clear that people on social media and writing blogs will say differently. We can confirm his salt and pepper chicken sandwich, 3LP fried rice, and smoked BBQ pork aren't being sought after by chance.
Whittier, Alaska, a town that used to only be accessible by boat or plane, has one of the most remote places to buy fish and chips — Varly's Swiftwater cafe. Every season, boat workers and people passing through the small town flock to taste the restaurant's fresh clam chowder and fried-to-order halibut. So, the MUNCHIES team flew to Anchorage, then drove through North America's longest combined vehicle-railroad tunnel to get a taste.
